Making a Character[]
How does one begin to make a character? Certainly everybody's creative process is different. And depending on the process, and how often they've done it, it can be hard or easy, solitary or a group effort, fun or a slog. What I would like to know is, how do you create a new character? Where do you begin? How do you get it to fit in with the existing characters?
I wish to make a new character or two, and get back into this roleplay once more. But I cannot do that alone. The scope is too great, the setting is by now too unfamiliar to me, and the creative process is honestly having a bit of trouble starting up. I don't have much so far, so I ask, if you have any ideas for the characters, especially with how to fit them into the setting, I welcome them.

Name: Darepony
Inspiration: Daredevil
Powers/Abilities/Skills: Super senses, Radar sense, High acrobatic and physical strength aptitude, Strong willpower
Character Idea #2[]
Name: Captain Shazam
Inspiration: Captain Marvel (DC)
Powers: Super strength, Flying, Physical invulnerability, Enhanced wisdom, Super speed (In superpowered form), Enhanced willpower (In superpowered and regular form)
Weaknesses: Magic-based attacks, strong mental attacks, bieng caught in non-superpowered form. (Can only be in superpowered form for an hour a day.)
Backstory: As an orphan in Maretropolis, young Bill lives in an orphanage in a bad spot. All of it changed, however, when one day he wandered into an abandoned warehouse that hid a legendary artifact - the Marvelous Stone, created by the wizard Marvel to only reveal itself to one young and untainted by human wickedness. The Stone granted Billy, as long as he had it, the ability to assume all the powers its creator once had, simply by shouting the wizard's name. Now, although Billy still stays at the orphanage with his orphan friends by day, by night he assumes the wizard's power as the indomitable Captain Shazam!
